Birol Ergüven received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1993 and earned his master’s degree from the same department in 1996. He began his professional career in 1993 as a Research Engineer in the defense industry. Subsequently, he served as a manager in various companies operating in the production and sales of industrial equipment and construction machinery, during which time he also completed his MBA program. Entering the energy sector in 2004, Ergüven has been working within Limak Group companies since 2011 and currently continues his tenure as a Member of the Board of Directors at Limak Investments. In addition to leading project development and execution processes for energy projects, he possesses deep experience in operational risk management, efficiency-oriented strategic planning processes, negotiation management, financial analysis, commodity markets, and strategic management. He particularly provides strategic guidance on increasing resource efficiency and integrating sustainable technologies within energy facilities.
